Truth In Network Marketing

If there were more truth in network marketing, I believe there would be less people who become frustrated and quit. It prospects were told in the beginning that this business takes time and a lot of hard work, they would probably not join in the first place. Or they would realize what it does take and would do everything necessary to hang in there until they reach their goals.

The sad fact is, though, that there is simply not much truth being told. Some network marketers are so desperate to build a downline that they tell people they can become rich overnight. They may even tell them that they won’t have to do a thing. Some even go so far as to tell their prospects that they will do all the work for them.

This is ridiculous, of course, but some people actually fall for it. They join a company in the hopes that all they have to do is sign up and become rich. Truly intelligent people should know better, but some of us want to believe it really is that easy. We want to believe it so badly that we shell out our hard-earned money to join these biz ops.

We soon find ourselves quitting and feeling a sense of shame for falling for such a scam. I know this first-hand, because I have been there. I finally came to my senses and realized that if something appears too good to be true, it probably is. There are no free rides in life.

There are good companies out there looking for distributors, but you have to work hard to succeed. You have to give your business time to grow. You have to know that putting forth a good effort for just a few months is not adequate. It takes at least a couple of years to get any business off the ground.
