Do Your Friends Really Want To Be Dragged To An Opportunity Meeting?

I don’t know about you, but I would rather stick a hot poker in my eye than attend an opportunity meeting. I have a friend who is involved in network marketing, as I am, but her company hosts these meetings quite frequently at a hotel meeting room in town.

I have politely turned down her invitations in the past, so she finally stopped inviting me to go. Whew! What a relief. She is very enthusiastic about her nutrition company, and that is great, but give me a break! I am not interested.

I hope she eventually reaches the conclusion that this is no way to build a business. Nobody that I know wants to spend their time at these meetings. What about you? Are you trying to build a business this way? How successful have you been? If your business is flourishing as a result of these meetings, I would bet that you are a rarity.

Most people are really busy these days. They have better things to do than listen to some company guru tout the benefits of joining their business. These guys fly in from all over hoping to persuade people to sign up. Even if they are successful in their attempt, most of these new team members don’t last very long.
