Is Your Glass Half-Empty Or Half-Full?

Do you see your glass as half-empty or half-full? What about your network marketing business? When you are struggling to succeed, it is easy to see want and lack instead of bounty. After all, you haven’t made any money yet.

The whole point is to make money and find financial freedom. Helping others to do the same is an added bonus. However, in the beginning, it is possible that nothing is happening. You may be wondering if it is a total waste of your time.

The important thing is to see the glass as half-full, even in the beginning. Otherwise, if you adopt the half-empty mindset, you may feel a sense of defeat before you even get started. We all have to start from scratch. There are no short-cuts.

Motivation Is The Key Factor In Network Marketing Success

How strong is your motivation in your network marketing business? The answer to that question may determine how successful you become. If you are highly motivated, you will put forth more time and energy and you will be less likely to quit out of frustration.

If you are truly unhappy with your current circumstances, you will probably do whatever it takes to become successful in this business so that you can change your situation. On the other hand, if you are only mildly annoyed by the way things are now, you will probably not be so determined to find success elsewhere.

Motivation is a powerful thing. It drives us to do what is hard and sometimes uncomfortable in order to reach the end result. It keeps us moving forward even on those days that we don’t really feel like it.

Knowing what we are working to achieve keeps us going. Success in this business can provide all kinds of freedom; financial freedom, time freedom, and freedom from a job. Never lose your motivation and you will find success.

Striving for more simply means that you want to improve your life. Staying highly motivated will help you reach your goals. Good luck in all that you do.

Comparing Ourselves To Others In Network Marketing Is A Useless Activity

Try not to compare yourself to others in network marketing. You will not be comparing apples to apples. Each and every one of us brings something different to the table, so comparisons are worthless.

If you are like me, you wonder what others have that you don’t. How in the world did that new team member recruit five people on their very first day? How did she sell so much product her very first week?

Well, a lot goes on behind the scenes that we may never know about. Those five new recruits may have followed her from her last business, and those sales may have been to family members to whom she promised favors.

Now, that is not always the case of course, but many times there is a very good reason why a new person seems to just take off. For those of you who are new to this business, you just don’t have the advantages that seasoned marketers do.

You don’t have the established downline, the network marketing education, or the mentor. You may not have the large advertising budget that someone else has. You are starting from scratch, and that is hard.

Comparing ourselves to others is a very discouraging activity. There will always be those who shoot to the top faster. Sometimes it is nothing more than dumb luck, but it is usually because they have an ace up their sleeve.

There will always be those who are better communicators, leaders, marketers, etc., but we can continually improve our skills, too. We can read and study network marketing. We can learn the business from the masters because this information is readily available.

Can You Go Just One More Mile In Network Marketing?

Do you ever wonder if you can even go just one more mile in your network marketing career? I know I do. We all know that we must put in some time each day working our business, but sometimes it is just so hard to do.

Usually, I really enjoy the time that I spend working, but sometimes I think that I just cannot take it another day. I begin to wonder if it is really worth the effort. I also sometimes doubt that I will ever become successful anyway. Sound familiar?

Occasionally, I find myself in this dark hole of disillusionment. The whole thing just seems pointless. I spend countless hours writing articles, contacting leads, posting on the forums, etc. Where has it gotten me?

Can you relate? Do you sometimes have these feelings, too? If so, then I feel better knowing that I am not alone. I wish that you and I knew each other so that we could wallow in our self-pity together.

Why does this take so long? Are my efforts just wasted? I know that when we write articles, we are supposed to be trying to help others with our expertise. However, I don’t feel like doing that today. I feel like venting.

You know what? That is my right; and yours. I really am not an expert in anything, anyway. I never pretended to be. I just write articles expressing how I feel and what I have learned on this long, hard path. Sharing our experiences with each other is a great learning tool.

Becoming a network marketer is one of the hardest things I have ever done. It has tested my patience in more ways than almost anything else I can think of. It has made me want to run screaming down the street in frustration.

If you are experiencing some of the same things, just know that you are not alone. I don’t know how many others are in our shoes, but I would certainly think that there are many. All those self-assured, successful marketers out there surely went through it.

Hopefully, once my marketing efforts begin to pay off in a big way, I will be able to look back and laugh. Maybe I will regain my sanity and see how all the blocks were somehow neatly stacked into place.

How To Become A Pied Piper In Network Marketing

The only way I know of to become a pied piper in network marketing is to market yourself online. If you establish yourself as an authority on a subject, people will follow you and be interested in what you have to say.

The best ways to do this are to write articles and submit them to article directories; participate in online forums; send traffic to your personal, informative website; become involved in social networking; write an informative blog and keep it updated; and publish a newsletter.

These may seem like simple things, but people who are new to MLM need this information. They need to be taught exactly what to do from the ground up. Any information that you can give them will be helpful because you have “been there, done that.”

Become a pied piper in network marketing by sharing what you know. It will be appreciated, and you will be branding yourself online in the process. You will eventually gain credibility and your name will begin to be recognized. It is a great way to build your business because people will come to you seeking what you have to offer.

Offline Marketing and Online Marketing - Which One Produces The Best Results?

If you are wondering whether to go with offline marketing or online marketing, the answer is up to you. I would venture to say that many network marketers use a little of each. Both methods can bring promising prospects your way.

Let’s take a look at some of the offline methods first. Leaving business cards, catalogs and brochures at places you frequent; placing a web decal or magnetic sign on your vehicle; newspaper ads; flyers; business stationary; free product samples; wearing apparel that features your company logo; home parties; craft fairs; flea markets; door hangers; postcards.

Online methods can include article marketing; forum participation; online ads; social networking; pay-per-clicks; Google adwords; blogs; purchasing leads; etc.

Each and every method is not listed here, but you get the idea. I believe that every method which gets your business website out there is beneficial. Network marketers will favor some methods over others, but it essentially comes down to you.

MLM Is Not A Race

MLM is not a race, or a contest. If you are thinking of quitting, DON”T DO IT! Remind yourself, over and over, that this TAKES TIME! So many people enter the world of network marketing full of hopes and dreams, and then they start to think that it just takes too long, or it is just too hard, or requires too much work.

Yes, it takes time, is not easy, and requires a lot of work. What doesn’t? Does anything in life really come easily? Not for me, it doesn’t. I suspect that is true for everyone. When you join an MLM company, you are essentially starting from scratch.

Sure, your upline can train you and give you the tools you need, but you have to start from the bottom. You probably have no customers and no viable prospects in the beginning, so you begin to build.

The best advice I can give you is to not try several marketing methods at once. Choose two or three, learn them well, and concentrate on just those methods. Make sure that your chosen strategies have worked well for successful people. Do not try to re-invent the wheel. I know that phrase may seem to be over-used in this industry, but it is true.

I don’t know that I have truly found my niche in marketing my business, but I do enjoy writing articles in an attempt to help others. I have learned so much in my MLM journey that I want to share what I have learned with others.

I hope to help at least one person jump the learning curve faster than I did by providing valuable information. I hope that you find your marketing niche, or that you find at least one method that you truly enjoy. The more you enjoy it, the more time and effort you will put into it.

Just remember that MLM is not a race. If things are not moving as quickly as you had hoped, don’t fret. Don’t feel like you are behind and will never catch up or get there. You will get there, eventually. Want to know the real key to success? Never give up. Never.

The Fallacy of the Hard Sell

Do you wonder about the hard sell tactics of network marketing? You really shouldn’t. They don’t work, and that is all you need to know. If you will steer clear of them, you and your business will be better off.

Rather than approaching people who will want to punch us for bothering them with what we have to offer, we should concentrate on those who are looking for it. Show those people the value in what your business offers and how it will benefit them. After all, it is about the prospect and those you can help; it should not be about you.

Once someone realizes that you are interested in helping them to create a better life, they will be open to what you have to say. They need to know that it is not just about the bottom line, but that you genuinely want to help others achieve what you have.

Once you have gained their confidence and they know you want to help them improve their situation, they will want to know all about your business. The hard sell just does not work. Build relationships first. Spend your time on those who want to know more.
